Objectives

The goal and overall objective of this Symposium is to provide a forum for scientists around the world and from diverse backgrounds, ranging from soil chemists, soil physicists, and production agronomists to molecular biologists, to meet in an environment conducive to sharing their results and discussing their research strategies as it relates to Phosphorus Dynamics in the Soil-Plant Continuum . We expect that this forum will assist in generating new knowledge and new technology that can contribute in transforming marginal lands into productive lands and increase food security in developing countries of the tropics where food production has frequently been inadequate to meet the needs of its people.
